Case study — Bere Chișinău

Berea Chișinău

A product spot delivered on time through a hybrid 3D pipeline.

The client came to Pixtoon asking for a product spot on a very short deadline.

The result, in short.

  • Deadline met

The spot was finished on the date asked for.

  • The product, right

The bottle stayed recognisable in every shot.

  • Less rendering

Simulation and render time dropped considerably.

  • One language

The different methods do not show in the result.

A product gets modelled from reference, not approximated.

The project involved complex scenes, simulations and rendering. Made entirely by traditional 3D methods, a spot like this would have needed at least a month of production — time that was not available.

The bottle was built from the product photograph: proportions, label, relief. There is no room for interpretation here.

Modelling from reference

We chose the method for every shot

Rather than force the whole spot through a single technique, we looked at each scene separately.

  • Shots needing product precision and controlled movement — classic 3D.
  • The remaining shots — the hybrid technique Pixtoon developed.
  • At the end, everything integrated into one cinematic language.

From the idea
to the final production.

  1. 01

    Concept & characters

We define the story, the personalities and the world it happens in.

  2. 02

    Classic 3D build

We model and texture whatever has to stay identical in every shot.

  3. 03

    Sets & props

We build the environments and objects that carry the story.

  4. 04

    Hybrid production

The rest of the shots use faster methods, chosen scene by scene.

  5. 05

    Compositing & finish

Everything arrives in one language: light, colour, rhythm, sound.

Why this approach is efficient

Hybrid production does not replace classic 3D. We use it exactly where it adds the most value, and for the rest of the shots we pick faster, more flexible methods.

Budget and time end up concentrated in the scenes that matter most.

Where we work in classic 3D

  • The product and the character stay exactly as approved.
  • Full control over movement, proportions and expressions.
  • The shots where precision matters most.

Where we work hybrid

  • New scenes, situations and variants in far less time.
  • The budget concentrates on the shots that carry the film.
  • Content that can keep going month after month.

Every shot gets the technique it needs —
not the cost of a production it never asked for.

A short deadline. Complex scenes. A premium result.

  • The spot was finished within the deadline requested.
  • The product stayed recognisable and correctly represented.
  • Complex scenes were distributed sensibly between classic 3D and hybrid production.
  • Simulation and render time came down.
  • The client gave very good feedback on the final result.

This model can work for your brand if:

  • You have a fixed launch date.
  • The product has to be represented precisely.
  • The spot involves liquids, simulations or complex effects.
  • The deadline rules out a full classic-3D production.
  • You need a premium result from an optimised pipeline.
